Q:    What is Banana Republic?

A:    Banana Republic is a classic style board game, but the theme is based on the politics of a small, corrupt nation.

Q:    Politics?!? That sounds very serious!

A:    It's all very toungue in cheek. It's really a satire, or a send up, of the stuff people get up to to try and gain power.

Q:    Is Banana Republic difficult to learn to play?

A:    Not at all. A pamphlet covering all the rules, in an easy to understand format, is included with the game.

Q:    What is the aim of the game? How do you become the winner of the game?

A:    A player's goal is, firstly, to become president of the country. You then have to remain president for long enough to collect enough Medals and become PRESIDENT FOR LIFE.

Q:    For how many players is the game?

A:    Three to six

Q:    For what age group is the game? Is it for chldren? Adults? Families?

A:    Banana Republic is a game for all age groups. Younger children (10-15) may not necessarily understand the concept of the game but they can still play along. Adults particularly enjoy the satirical political elements.

A:    Anywhere from 45 minutes to two and a half hours. Either a short or a long version of the game can be played.

A:     Banana Republic has been in development for a number of years, through various incarnations and versions.

Q:    Has it been playtested sufficiently? What happens if a situation arises that is not covered by the rules?

A:    As with any game, this is indeed a possibility, even though Banana Republic has been playtested thoroughly over a number of years. If this happens, make a house rule. Be creative and use common sense. And please let us know when this happens.

Q:    Is it safe to shop online? What about security? Privacy?

A:    Please read this page. It covers everything concerning ordering, paying, etc.

Q: And this eBook, The Year Zero? What's up with that? Does it have anything to do with the board game?

A: It's a tie-in with the game. Well, sort of. Read the synopsis here and this will tell you how it came about.
