Milocevich
sues lawyer for defamation
The

Former
Yugoslav president Slobodan Milocevich today sued the lawyer representing
him before the International Court Of Justice where he is facing charges
of genocide and other war crimes.
Milocevich
accused his lawyer of grossly misrepresenting his case, of incompetence,
and of overcharging for his services. Charging that as he was innocent of
all charges laid against him, and that, as duly elected president of
Yugoslavia he was carrying out the will of his people, he said that being
“bilked“ by, as he put it, “a greedy shyster of a lawyer who lies,
cheats and steals” was more than any sane, rational, reasonable person
could stand.
Milocevich
has always insisted on representing himself in the case which is scheduled to last
another 18 months.
